Participant & Vendor Orientations
In our constant effort to simplify and improve upon the customer experience and supporting processes required to access FCC Rural Health Care Pilot Program subsidy, we have developed and scheduled an Orientation Series for our valued participants and vendors, or those considering participation.
The FCC RHCPP process is a highly interdependent process, involving you and the appropriate leadership within your organization, OHN, USAC (the FCC's third party administrator for the RHCPP), and the vendor who will supply your new OHN broadband and OHN network connection. We each impact one another. Given that the RHCPP is new to all of us, we've learned from hard earned experience that proper education and awareness of the process has proven critical to helping us all navigate this process as effectively as possible.
If you're a interested participant or vendor in the RHCPP - we strongly enourage you to identify the appropriate members of your team/staff to attend all of the orientations outlined below. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the staff for assistance.
COPIES OF THE PRESENTATIONS for download are available at the bottom of this page.

FCC Seeks Public Comment for Changes to National Broadband Plan
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced it is making changes to the National Broadband Plan, which is designed to assist thousands of health providers at hospitals and clinics in the U.S. who lack adequate broadband access and capability. The announcement, made July 15, begins a 30-day open window for public comment. Comments can be sent to: Federal Communications Commission, 445 12th Street SW; Washington, DC 20554 or via email, fccinfo@fcc.gov.

Updates to the FCC’s National Broadband Plan include the development of a permanent $400 million fund to further broadband infrastructure and build out of health information capabilities in rural areas. This financial support is an additional funding opportunity, outside of the current Rural Health Care Pilot Program (RHCPP) of which Oregon Health Network (OHN) manages for the state, and the standard Rural Health Care Program (RHC).
