Participation Fees
WHAT ARE OHN's ANNUAL MEMBER PARTICIPATION FEES FOR?
As a non-profit organization, Oregon Health Network (OHN) looks to annual participation (membership) fees and on-going fundraising to support the core operational infrastructure which includes:
- Extensive administration requirements of the Rural Health Care Pilot Program
- Efforts to raise and administrate necessary grant funds; such as those used to raise 15% RHCPP matching funds
- The design and on-going management of our Network Operations Center (NOC)
The NOC provides a very valuable service in monitoring quality of the network with vendors as well as to troubleshoot quality issues over the NOC with participants and their vendors.
In support of our phased approach, we anticipate developing three different pricing models that serve:
- OHN participants that are eligible for and participant in the FCC RHCPP subsidy (completed, see below)
- OHN participants that are not eligible for the FCC RHCPP subsidy but still wish to join OHN during the 5-year FCC RHCPP timeframe (pending)
- Pricing for both of the above after the RHCPP ends in May 2014 (pending)
As of Fall 2009, we have a revised pricing model to serve OHN participants that are eligible for FCC RHCPP funding (#1). By the late fall/early winter of 2009, we plan to identify a solution for those participants who are not eligible to benefit from the FCC RHCPP subsidy (#2). The goal of each is to balance the sustainability of OHN with value and affordability for our participants.
Eligible FCC RCHPP Participants: OHN’s annual participation fees for RHCPP eligible sites are not designed to be cost prohibitive or arbitrary. The pricing model directly correlates to both the size and type of your organization, how you wish to connect to OHN, and the value you experience as a result of the RHCPP subsidy. The two core criteria include:
- A flat-rate annual revenue model (percentage factors) for the size and type of organization.
- Hospitals
- Rural health clinics
- Mental health clinics
- Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’S)
- Tribal clinic’s
- Community colleges
- The cost (value) of adding each leaf node (NOC monitoring device) and connection (to NWAX or a regional exchange etc.)
Due to this customized approach, we have created a template for upon which, you and your staff and an OHN representative to insert use assumptions so that you can forecast what fees might be once you receive contract information from your selected vendor.

Wallowa Memorial Connects to OHN

The decision to participate in the Oregon Health Network was a natural step that aligns seamlessly with Wallowa’s mission of progress and technological advancement. Having originally taken advantage of OHN to increase their teleradiology capability, the hospital is now eagerly anticipating a variety of benefits to participation.
