Eligibility

WHO QUALIFIES FOR THE FCC RHPP SUBSIDY?

All health care and health education providers are eligible to participate in the Oregon Health Network. Those that are eligible for the Rural Health Care Pilot Program subsidy include:

  1. Non-profit Hospitals and Health Systems
  2. Rural Health Clinics (RHC's)
  3. Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC's)
  4. Community Colleges and their branch locations regardless of their rural/urban classification

IF MY ORGANIZATION DOESN'T QUALIFY FOR THE RHCPP, CAN I STILL JOIN OHN?

Absolutely. While we haven't yet addressed how we can also help to financially support all those who need to be on the network, it is a priority. The growing value of OHN will be in connecting ALL healthcare-related businesses, organizations and service providers. But due to the extensive administration and timeline requirements of the RHCPP (June 2010 for contract approval), our primary focus is to get as many RHCPP-eligible sites on the network as possible to make sure Oregon successfully leverages this $20.2 million dollar opportunity.

If your organization doesn't need financial assistance for bandwidth or connectivity, please contact us so that we can learn more about your organization and how we can best support your participation.
