As our provider network grows, it’s no longer “business as usual” for every Oregon health care and education provider who makes the decision to join the state-wide network.  The value of having equal access to quality connectivity and a growing provider base is enormous – for both the providers and the patients we’re all charged to serve.

Quality broadband remains a significant barrier for far too many providers and communities; however it is really only the first step in solving the challenges and opportunities that impact the entire health care community. And while we're actively working to complete this first critical step, we're now actively engaging in step two which surrounds answering:

“How will WE work as a community to best identify what new hosted applications, services and support should be offered by OHN to add the greatest value to our member providers, and the sustainability of OHN as well?"

New Hosted Applications & Services

Through continuous outreach, OHN is working to leverage the feedback from our participants to ensure the full use and value of their OHN network experience. This includes identifying future hosted applications, a platform for hosting state-wide best practices, facilitating strategic partnerships, and consultation on telehealth adoption and execution. These efforts will help ensure that all participants have access to sound best practices, training and education, advocacy/policy support and applications/hardware to support your telemedicine and education initiatives.

The Role of OHN's Stakeholder Council in Vetting Newly Proposed Offerings

As a convener organization, it makes no sense for a small group of OHN "insiders" to make that decision for you, for your organization or your community. OHN is YOUR network. That’s why we developed a volunteer Stakeholder Council, with representatives and experts from accross the state and across industry to assist OHN staff, the Planning Committee and Board of Directors to vet the best solutions that serve the greatest good, and add the greatest value.
