Network Design

Under our leased line (broadband) services model, the “OHN approved” vendor is required to contractually agree to adhere to OHN connectivity service level standards (outlined below) and efficient BGP peering relationship requirements at NWAX or other exchanges. Therefore, the vendor’s contract is still between the vendor and the OHN participant--not between OHN and the vendor.  Under this network design, standards and contractual arrangement model, OHN participants will enjoy a lower cost of connectivity, scalability and better performance than would be possible to achieve through a single service provider model.

Additionally, OHN has a network operations center (NOC) that proactively monitors all of the OHN approved vendor connections on a 24 hour basis to ensure our vendors are living up to these strict SLAs. Should any problems in network performance occur, the OHN NOC works with your organization’s key point of contact(s) as well as your telecommunications vendor to resolve any problem effectively and efficiently. This represents a great value to both OHN participants and the telecommunications vendors themselves, specifically in their ability to isolate service problems between themselves and other vendors as well as when an OHN participant site is working to trouble shoot a connectivity issue with another OHN participant. We have found that our NOC provides a quick and reliable method for our participants to confirm the quality of their connectivity and a means to expedite troubleshooting efforts.  Click here to learn more about the OHN NOC.
