Thank you for your interest learning about the best time or method for your organization to connect to the OHN health care community network.

With pressing challenges and mandates surrounding health information exchange (HIE), the meaningful use of electronic health records, the selection and participation with accountable care (ACO) or coordinated care organizations (ACO) - robust and reliable connectivity to the greater OHN health care community (and ultimately national community) is a must-solve for providers of any size, type or location.

OHN staff are poised and ready to assist you and your staff on the best path to connecting to the network.

STEPS TO CONNECTION

  1. Contact Us: Contact OHN with your interest in learning more about OHN and to set-up a meeting.
  2. Attend/schedule an OHN orientation/presentation: Arrange a time for your expanded team (Leadership, IT, clinical, financial etc) to learn more about what OHN is and how we're poised to help you as it relates to serving the Triple Aim goals of CMS and existing/future health IT strategies and programs. We have found this team approach to save a lot of time for everyone, and it helps in providing a very focused and meaningful discussion to determine the best next steps for all involved.
  3. Needs Assessment Form: Working along side your OHN Account Manager, complete this form to assist OHN in helping determine next steps.
  4. OHN Contract & Annual Participation Fees: OHN will work with you to review the OHN services contract and annual participation fee structure to make sure you don't have any questions or concerns for final review and signature.
  5. Telecom Vendor Process: There are two paths at this critical step. If you already have an OHN approved telecom vendor who is and peered at NWAX, OHN will guide your staff in working to rewrite your contract to ensure the OHN SLAs are in place. If you do not have an OHN approved vendor, OHN staff can work with you to obtain quotes for a new provider who can/will agree to our SLAs. OHN currently has over 11 vendors in the state, so there are several options available at this critical step.  The result is an amended SLA with your existing vendor or a new signed telecom vendor contract with an OHN provider.
  6. Connecting to the NOC: After it is confirmed that your vendor has peered at NWAX and agreed to OHN SLAs, OHN's NOC will send an OHN Leaf Node (router monitoring devise) to your designated site facility. You and/or your vendor will work with the OHN NOC to set up and test the leaf node monitoring devise.
  7. You're Live! OHN staff will then reach out to your team to guide you through transferring prior traffic over to your new OHN connection, as well as working with your team to reach out to other existing/future OHN affiliate partners to conduct telemedicine, operational or education related HIT programs and services.
