Through the one-time subsidy from the FCC for the Rural Health Care Pilot Project, OHN is laying an unprecedented foundation. Therefore, we rely on annual membership contributions from the early adopters of health information technology, telemedicine and distance education: you, our valued provider participants. Participants can be proud of knowing that through our network, the state of Oregon is being looked to and as a model for paving the way for the future of improved health care delivery, education and access.
Our annual participation fees allow OHN to administer the highly complex FCC RHCPP program, run the Network Operations Center, advocate for the network and our participants, identify and deploy new hosted services, and secure operability through the end of the Rural Health Care Pilot Program (RHCPP) and beyond.
Our focus and effort to date has resulted in a participation fee model that directly addresses the value and needs of the FCC RHCPP eligible participants (non-profit hospitals, clinics and community colleges). However, OHN is designed to serve all providers who are critical to the delivery of health care and education. Therefore, we are currently refining the current model to develop an easier flat-rate model for those participants that will not benefit from the RHCPP.
Pricing for FCC RHCPP Recipients
In the interest of fairness, sustainability and affordability, we have developed a pricing model that is based upon two-factors: Your organization’s type and size, and a percentage of the amount awarded to you from the RHCPP’s 85% monthly recurring cost reimbursement. Understanding that you don’t want surprises, we’ve recently set a “floor" and “ceiling” to this fee structure to help participants effectively budget for minimum and maximum fees. Click here for an overview of the pricing schedule for hospitals and clinics which will remain stable for FCC RHCPP recipients until May, 2014.
Pricing for Non-FCC RHCPP Recipients
We have a five-level pricing model to address the unique needs of our provider sites who have not benefitted from the Rural Health Care Pilot Program subsidy. Based on organizational revenue, the graphic below outlines these guidelines. Please contact us if you have any questions or need clarification.
